A sustainable stay, this lodge is also a great place to learn with a running school for kids, loads of history (a mansion that has been converted into a hotel and school), and it’s the best base for exploring the Aletsch Glacier.

Things To Do

A forest walk with raclette. There’s really nothing like Swiss raclette cheese. And having it by open fire after a short walk through the forest is a must.

Hike Aletsch Glacier

The Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in the Alps and hiking around this wonder is a must. If you’re super adventurous you can hike along the actual glacier bed. But for average travelers, hiking the nearby mountains will give you incredible views (and you can also spot the famous Matterhorn mountain too).

Visit Leukerbad

This Swiss town is known for their thermal water, being a source of happiness and the stunning Gemmi Pass mountain. This is the spot to stop, take a thermal bath and then do lunch atop the mountain for incredible views.
